RUFF Fire, previously known as RUFF Co., was founded in 2014 as a for-profit organization focused on offering training, equipment, and support to help communities prevent or better manage fires and minimize their impact.

In 2022, we introduced an online educational series to teach cutting-edge firefighting tactics grounded in science. Furthermore, we are proud to be the first to mandate successful completion of this course for certification. Our certification process focuses on individuals, demonstrating their competency in a specific skill or knowledge area, and often involves passing our exam with >80%. This ensures that our certified users are thoroughly prepared and knowledgeable, leading to greater success and safety in their firefighting efforts.
